KURBAN

Why your donation makes such a difference

🔸 Islamic & local: All animals are slaughtered according to Islamic guidelines- by our team directly on site in Uganda.
🔸 Targeted distribution: Your donation reaches orphanages, single mothers, elderly people and families in extreme need.
🔸 100% transparent: You receive pictures and videos of your donation – so you can see how your Kurban is working.
🔸 Fair & sustainable: We support local farmers and the villages economy through regional animal purchases.

How Your Kurban Donation Is Handled and Transferred?

We are committed to ensuring that your Kurban donation reaches people in need in Uganda safely, quickly, and transparently. To make this possible, we use the secure and trusted payment provider RaiseNow, and we take every step to handle your contribution responsibly.

Step 1: Secure Online Processing via RaiseNow

Donations made through our online donation form are processed by RaiseNow and transferred to our NGO’s bank account in Germany every Wednesday. From there, we forward the collected funds to our project account in Uganda.

Online Payment Fees

These fees are automatically deducted from the donation amount during the online payment process.

RaiseNow charges a standard 2.5% service fee, and depending on your selected payment method, additional transaction fees from the payment provider (e.g., Stripe or PayPal) apply:

Payment Method RaiseNow FeePayment Provider Fee
Credit Card (via Stripe)2.5%From 1.5% + €0.25
SEPA Direct Debit (Stripe)2.5%From 1.5% + €0.25

Google Pay (via Stripe)2.5%1.5% + €0.25
Apple Pay (via Stripe)2.5%1.5% + €0.25

Step 2: International Bank Transfer to Uganda

Once your donation reaches our German account, we transfer the funds to Uganda through our bank, BW Bank. However, international transfers to non-SEPA countries like Uganda come with additional fees, which we transparently outline below:

International Transfer Fees

  • Donations up to €25 → No additional fees

  • Donations over €25:

    • 1% of the transfer amount, with a minimum of €7.50 and maximum of €150

    • Plus a flat fee of €1.50 for administrative expenses

  • Currency conversion:

    • 0.25% of the amount (minimum €1.50)

  • If the sender chooses to cover all fees:

    • An additional flat fee of €25 is charged by the bank

To ensure 100% of your donation is received in Uganda, we as the NGO choose to cover all of these fees ourselves.

Example: What Happens to a €100 Kurban Donation?

Step 1: Online Payment Fees

RaiseNow fee (2.5%) €2.50
Stripe fee (credit card) €1.75

Help Us Make Every Euro Count

We are a small, volunteer-led NGO without regular large-scale donor support. That means we depend entirely on generous people like you to carry out our mission.

To make sure your full donation reaches the people who need it, we currently cover all transaction and transfer costs from our own limited budget. But these costs add up quickly and reduce the resources we have for our on-the-ground impact.

👉 How You Can Help

If you’re able, please consider voluntarily covering the small processing and transfer fees during your donation.
This simple act increases your donation’s effectiveness and helps us keep our operations sustainable.

Example: A €100 donation generates approx. €4.25 in online payment fees and €35.50 in international transfer fees.
By covering these, you ensure the full €100 goes directly to our projects in Uganda, without any extra burden on our small organization.

Every euro counts. Every gesture matters.
Thank you for standing with us—your support changes lives.
